I’m Keoni, a maker researching the philosophies of design, life, & craft.
What is Keoni Studio?
Keoni Studio is a life project that allows me to channel my projects, my studies, & my research in ways that culminate as philosophies of life & design. Through the exploration of traditional practices, critiques of modernity, & the desire to create a life worth living, I study the assumptions, principles, limitations, & possibilities present in life, design, & society.
In practice, I explore projects such as leatherwork & ceramics in detail. Researching traditional practices, modern methodologies, how it incorporates with & influences philosophies of life, & its applications through the language of design.
How can leather as a craft be revitalized through traditional home dyeing techniques? What does the history of journaling tell us about its influence on society at large? How does ceramics help us explore the limitations of our bodies?

About Me
I’m Keoni, the maker behind Keoni Studio. I have a self-taught background in industrial design, writing, philosophy, & graphic design. Which informs my approach to craft, united under a shared philosophy. One focused on human-centered design, crafted for & with purpose, & built to grow with you.
Background
Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked across various creative & analytical disciplines, bridging digital & physical design. From electrical engineering, brand development, textile arts, app development, print, industrial design, & digital marketing.
